best place for reboot commands

hello -

i was trying to determine the best place for bootup commands to go. from my limited research, it appears they should go in the crontab like so:

@reboot ( ...reboot commands here....)

i am a bit surprised that i see the following /etc/ directories:

Code:
cron.daily
cron.hourly
cron.monthly
cron.weekly
i should think there would be a /etc/cron.reboot/ directory? i am tempted to create one and see if it works, but thought i would check with the linux wizards to see if there is a better option.

is the crontab the best place to put boot commands?
