GeoIP in Nginx

So, I've already compiled Linux with GeoIP enabled, added it in the host block, and downloaded the Nginx Country/city files and linked to them in nginx.conf. Not working in MyBB. Any ideas?

What is your nginx compile line?

No error message. Unfortunately, I did this a while ago so I don't have the line. However, nginx -V does show:
--with-http_geoip_module

You also have the C libary for geo ip installed?

How would I install that? Not sure what that is.

Wouldn't that be for C programming, while MyBB is coded in MySQL+PHP?

I was reading at http://wiki.nginx.org/HttpGeoipModule

'This module needs the geo databases and the library to read from the database.'

The download is the library, it happens to be written in C. It would be the header / include files, possibly an executable program as well.

I've downloaded the databases, linked them in Nginx.conf and set the variables in fastcgi_params
Not sure what else I could do.
