kvm50 kernel upgrade

hello -

this morning i was notified that a new kernel 3.10.0-327.22.2.el7.x86_64 was available, which i installed.

somehow this all took place without even so much as a reboot - even apache managed to survive this experience, which lately seems to have troubles with days that end with the letter "Y".

indeed, the only reason i even know this action was even successful was that the uname result is different, besides of course whatever issues this latest upgrade provides. the experience was a bit of a non-event (sort of like the upcoming prez. debate)

is all of this made possible due to the magic and wizardry of interserver kvm ? i am guessing this is not possible using the cheaper interserver plan?

or am i just too easily impressed??
