Hi all,
We created a subdomain on our vps - ie sandpit3.ourdomain.com.au. The intention of this is for it to be sandpit environment for us to test things. However it didnt work because all reference to the sub domain pointed to the main domain.
We contacted service desk and explained we wanted the subdomain to be separate from the main domain - that is, when somone types in sandpit3.ourdomain.com.au, they are taken to those files. And when someone types in ourdomain.com.au they are taken to the site on that domain.
However, the service desk havent been able to do this. It has taken nearly 2 days since the original ticket was raised and I had to raise a new ticket as it seemed the old one got discarded. Our main site is not available now and hasn't been available for close to 24 hours.
Is this a hard thing to do - ie have sub-domain point to one set of files and the main domain going to its own files?
Thanks
g
